Lighthouse Transitional Care Volunteer Application

Lighthouse Transitional Care is a Christ-focused nonprofit organization in Riga, Latvia. We work with young adults who have aged out of the out-of-family care system (orphanages and/or foster care). Our goal is to journey alongside them as they navigate the transition to adulthood. We do this by building long-lasting mentoring relationships, teaching practical life skills, and creating a safe, trusting space where our youth can thrive.

Lighthouse values and understands the importance of a varied and diverse team of volunteers. As you fill out the application below, please take extra attention to share your strengths and skills, so that we can best utilize who you are and what you are great at.

Most of our clients have experienced complex trauma. To help them heal, we use various trauma-informed approaches to building long-lasting and healing relationships. All volunteers are expected to complete this provided training within the first year of the volunteer agreement. Once you have applied, been approved, and signed a volunteer agreement, you will be provided with training dates.
